The Root Cellar Inn is the perfect place to stay whether you're just passing through, visiting family and friends, or looking for a relaxing getaway on beautiful Lake Gogebic.
Our inn offers four different room styles to fit a variety of needs. We feature 10 ground-level rooms, including one wheelchair-accessible room, as well as 3 upper-level rooms. Each upper-level room includes a private deck with seating and stunning views of the lake.
Guests can enjoy several outdoor seating areas on the lakeside patio, providing the perfect place to relax, unwind, and take in the scenery. The inn is conveniently located next to our restaurant and bar, making dining and entertainment just steps away.
We also offer ample parking directly in front of the rooms, with plenty of space for trucks, trailers, boats, and snowmobile trailers. A short walk down the hill brings you to our docks and beautiful Lake Gogebic shoreline.

Cancellation policy:
We require a minimum of one week's notice prior to your arrival date to cancel a reservation without penalty.
Reservations canceled within one week of arrival will be charged 50% of the total reservation amount. Same-day cancellations will be charged 100% of the reservation amount.
We prefer that cancellations be made by phone, as it is the best way to communicate with us. We kindly ask that you provide as much notice as possible so we can work with you and make the room available to other guests.
During snowmobile season, if weather or trail conditions may affect your travel plans, please contact us before the one-week cancellation deadline. We understand that conditions can change quickly and will do our best to work with you whenever possible.
